No Circulation Fees and Other Changes
News June 21, 2024
We're excited to announce several new changes at the library! These updates aim to enhance your experience and provide better access to our resources.
The changes include:
- No circulation fees. Starting July 1, 2024, we will no longer charge fees for borrowing library materials! Patrons will still be responsible for overdue charges and lost-item fees.
- Borrowed item limits. When borrowing library materials in person, patrons can have up to 5 items checked out at any given time.
- Upgraded library account option. Patrons may upgrade their account for $25 a year. Upgraded accounts have a borrowed item limit of up to 12 items at a time.
- Additional computer stations. There are now 4 computer stations with access to legal databases. All stations have access to Lexis, with one station having additional access to Westlaw.
- Computer reservations online. Patrons can now use our online reservation system to reserve a spot at the library computers. Reservations are not required. See our Computer Use Policy for more information.
- A new document and book scanner. The scanner is available to the public and free to use. Patrons may send the scans directly to their e-mail or upload them to a USB flash drive (bring your own or purchase one at the library for $6 plus tax).
These updates do not affect remote access to our e-books and databases. You may continue to access them online with a free library account.
