Westlaw Access is Back!

August 2, 2023

News

Exciting news! Patrons can now access Westlaw Classic in person at the library! Westlaw is one of the most prominent legal databases in the industry, and we are thrilled to offer this service to the public once again.

Resources in Westlaw that our patrons find especially helpful include:

  • Robust case law research tools
  • O’Connor’s series of forms and commentaries
  • Texas Jurisprudence legal encyclopedia

Patrons can access Westlaw at Computer Terminal 3 along with Lexis Advance, HeinOnline, AILALink, and our other electronic databases.

Reservations are not required, but we can set up a reservation for up to an hour if you'd like to come in at a designated time. See our Computer Use policies for more information on time limits and reservations. You can call the library directly at 512-463-1722 to make a reservation.

Can't make it to Austin? We have several legal databases and lots of e-books available remotely in the library's Digital Collection. Be sure to check it out!
