FAQ: New State Laws

On September 1st, 820 laws passed during the 2019 legislative session went into effect. Since then, the library has received many questions about these new laws. To assist our patrons, we've answered a general question regarding these laws on our frequently asked legal questions page. Included in our answer is information on how to locate the new laws as well as where to find the 2019 session laws.

While our librarians are unable to provide legal advice or address your specific situation, the information included on this page will give you an overview of the law and may help you to determine the answer on your own.
